By combining the analog sonic power of their Brute series analog synthesizers with an innovative routing and sequencing matrix, Arturia’s MatrixBrute provides you with the full flexibility of a modular synth, with the convenience of modern digital control. This isn’t to say that the MatrixBrute won’t play well with your modern modular gear — its 12-in/12-out CV section covers all the analog I/O you could ask for — but you don’t need to touch a single patch cable to route signal around this singular synth. While traditional elements such as a 4-mode Steiner-Parker filter and a 3-mode ladder filter are exciting all by themselves, the 64-step sequencer and ability to instantly recall 256 presets have really turned heads. We’re also impressed by the feel of the full-sized, 49-note keyboard, which makes the Arturia MatrixBrute one of the most playable synthesizers around.
