The DryBell Vibe Machine is an improved version of the pedal that made the Jimi Hendrix version of the Star Spangled Banner sound so awesome. Not to mention David Gilmour and Stevie Ray Vaughan!
This pedal has all the swirling, three-dimensional and pure transparant tones we’re all looking for. Based on photocells and outstanding craftsmanship, these pedals are handcrafted.
The pedal offers all the logical features like you’d expect: Intensity, Speed, Volume, Vibrato, Chorus, True Bypass Switching and an Expression-pedal input. But, it also has a Bright/Original switch of wich I really like the Bright to clean up the signal when using my neck pickup.
On top of these,
there are “hidden features”:
There is a unique Leslie Speed Acceleration jumper inside the pedal. In combination with an expression pedal, it’ll make the Leslie speed up and down gradually. Awesome!
The pedal has a buffer-feature as well, which makes your high-impedance signal into a low-impedance signal to prevent tone-sucking. I found no prove of any such effect, but still, if you use several many pedals, this is a great feature.
With the TFC (Traffic Control) link you can turn on and off other pedals on your pedalboard using looper pedals.
Range and Symmetry controls enable you to personalize the throb sounds of your pedal. Well worth a couple of minutes to experiment!
I never owned the original Uni-Vibe pedal, but we all know it’s sound very well.
