More Tonal Control Than a Typical Buffer Allows
The J. Rockett Audio Designs SOS buffer pedal helps you maintain your guitar tone through long cable runs and big pedalboards, balancing your impedance and maintaining high frequencies. And because every guitar rig and pedalboard is different, the SOS allows adjustment of the buffer for fine-tuning the top end of your tone. Best of all, you can use the SOS buffer in front of wah pedals and fuzz pedals that may not operate properly with other buffered pedals in front of them. If you want more sonic control than most buffered pedals offer, check out the J. Rockett Audio Designs SOS buffer.
Does your pedalboard need a buffer?
There is no shortage of information out there about what buffers do and how they work. But in a practical sense, all you need to do is unplug your guitar from your pedalboard and play it directly through your amp for a bit. Then plug back into your pedalboard, making sure all pedals are switched off, and play some more. Do you notice a difference in your tone, perhaps a duller top end? If not, no worries — carry on. If you do experience tonal degradation, adding a buffer to your signal path, such as the SOS buffer, is your solution.
